Pelican Creek

Pelican Creek

Pelican Creek, A Beach Town off of the Atlantic Ocean. It boasts 500 acres of Seminole Lands and a Fort Call St. Augustus. It was thought to be built back in the 1500's, when the queen gave money to Augustus for Exploration. So the America's gave land too the Indians, the Queen of England, and Spain and then the Americans took part of it which the beaches and town are local to Pelican Creek. There were 4 close friends from the ancestors that were back then named, Segwa, Alex, Alexandria, and Sasha. They were called the princes and princesses of Pelican Creek. They were only 12 years old all of them and they were the best of friends.

There small school house on the reservation was a different kind of school that taught culture of all four of their ancesetry. They would talk of it often. Segwa knew how to make a tee pee, and alex made clocks of wood, Alexandria made beautiful pearl necklaces from the ocean and Sasha made leather shoes and dresses made of heavy silks. All four of them were extremely skilled and sold their crafts every year at the festival, they held through out the vast land. People came from everywhere to see the sights and ride the trolley through the miles of tourist attractions that they had built up in the 1800's to show hommage to the good fortune all of them shared. Throughout the years many others faught many civil wars but they kept Pelican Creek peaceful and embraced their differences instead of fighting about them.

They rode horses that they tamed from the land, where many are still wild roaming the preserves. They stayed mostly in their Tee Pees that Segwa made for them out of bear skin, and at night they would sit by a bon fire they made and tell stories of the past about love, loss, and of festivals from before.

The Queen back in the 1800's had built a palace that they turned into a romantic hotel with over 100 rooms for couples who marry and their families. They have even had famous actors and actresses get married there and book all the rooms for weeks.

They put beautiful white, red, and pink roses out from the towns garden. Glass and wood tables that were hand carved by the towns people from, America, Indian, Spanish, and English architecture together for the furnishings and walls. Some of the famous painters have even been here and put beautiful merrils on the walls with famous angels and battles of the past. Including portraits of the famous people who have stayed here.

The huge fireplace is lit during the night and day with huge leather chairs in brown and sofas made of the finest materials that sits in front of it. It is 10 feet wide and metals from Spain adorn the front with armed sheilds that hang above with muskets and older guns of the past.

The rooms have beds with wooden carved indian wildlife and fish from the sea made from wood from the land and bedding made from the most comfortable materials and cultured designs. Clothing for sale in the towns stores have something for everyone. Children can spend the night with the four of them and stay in their own tee-pee and dress like they did back then. They even tought them how to dance around the bon fire and sing out loud too.

The land also has a hand carved wood sulpture of the Cheif from back then and it is so realistic and life size that some feel like he is really there with them. There is also a cave on the land that you can take a tour in and see stalagmites that have formed there for millions of years. You can walk deep down into the caves and feel the mineral water that forms small pools encaved in rocks and the water is so cool you feel refeshed just touching it.

There is a beautiful love story of how they all came together back then where one of the indians fell in love with a scottish girl from scottland. They tell the story every year. His name was Ti Pawa and hers was Serinity. They have a meriled picture above one of the limestone walls of them lying there in bear skin small outfits over looking the ocean under the moon shining a light on them with a wolf of blue eyes lying close to them and protecting both of them.

They did not think that they would stay together because of such a different culture but with there love together they built Pelican Creek and made it so that it was safe for everyone their and they all embaced their differences and built something beautiful for all.

Alexandria looked at Segwa just then and said one day I will marry you Segwa and Segwa thought that would be romantic just like Ti Pawa and Serenity. Alex looked at Sasha and said we should make a pack and marry too just like them. As young as they all were they were just kind of laughing about it. But next year they will be 13 like Ti Pawa and Serenity and they too will start to like each other like that. So all four of them joined hands together and painted mariatal tattoes on their faces and danced around the fire that night with all the other children and they agreed to come back for their weddings and spend the whole month with them there when they all turned 18 years old.

The next day they were all riled up and they all spoke on tours on the trolley for all the guests to learn about the land. While they were driving into one of the deep valleys they came to a natural pasture where the wild white and black stallions stood strong there eating hay from the ground and flowers were all around them. The crowd on the trolley gasps to see such a beautiful natural sight and clapped, they do not get to see that every day and Alexandria explained to them that they have been here since the 1500's and that they let them roam the lands and they are healthy and fit and untouched by humans. She also was dressed in Spanish Clothing made from back then and the crowd loved it. She was so beautiful too and already at 12 stood 5' 3 inches tall and very tan. She told all of them that there are wooden carved replica's back at the reserves florida store for sale and they can all take one home with them for the memories. Segwa showed him one he carries around with him that came from the tribe along time ago, he never goes anywhere without it.

They also drove the trolley through to the beaches where they could stop at shops and see the seawall made of limestone and the narrow alleys with the cool ocean breezes when the wind blows through there. They had all kinds of shops there with a rootbeer shop, a salt water taffy shop and coffee shops for the older people. What was cool too is that you could get a rootbeer float and a hamburger at the rootbeer shop with teenagers on skates serving them to everyone. The town had set to the side where the elder indians put on a show everynight too, they had the paint on their faces and their bear skin outfits on and the biggest fire that they did a matronmionial dance for the wedding going on all the time. There was lots of food and drinks for everyone and every night everyone enjoyed themselves.

Afterwards Segwa, Sasha, Alexiandria and Alex would still go back to their tee-pees and some nights they would cook mashmallows at the fire or a hot dog with the kids too. Some of them would bring their own stories to the fire too and they were welcomed for a change. They told scary stories and some of their own love stories. They played with a scoccer ball there and some of the games got pretty intense.

All and All they had fascinating lives and people returned every year to spend their vacations with them. They had a surf camp too which all of them would hold an hour a day teaching people from the north how to do it. The best night is when the spanish fort puts on knights armour outfits and they ride the horses through the streets with fire lit torches. They looked so gallant in the air and riding through the streets you felt like you were back in the 1500 to 1800 hundreds when they really lived like that. The crowd loved it and went wild with appraise and awe.

Segwa looked at Alexandria just then and pulled her high up on his horse and kissed her right on the mouth and she kissed him back,. Glowing now she knew what Serinity must have felt back then with Ti Pawa. And with that they rode into the night knowing that they would always be with one another carrying out Pelican Creeks Traditions and that one day high on the hill they would marry one another.
