Mystery Of The Buttons

Beverly Wires was at home in her front yard gardening. Her grandchildren Candice and Jonathan were over at her house visiting for the weekend. Beverly had told her grandchildren they could roam the house and play outdoors as long as they did not touch the buttons on her table. Well the kids sat inside reading and then Johnathon went outside to help his grandmother in the garden. Well Candice was curious as a cat and went over to the buttons. She touched them and with that disappeared to button land. When Beverly and grandson Johnathon came indoors and found Candice missing Beverly said oh dear Candice’s curiosity caught up with her and she touched the buttons ALTHOUGH I SPECIFFICALLY TOLD HER NOT TO. JOHNATHON WE ARE GOING TO HAVE TO TOUCH THE BUTTONS. WE WILL DISAPPEAR TO ANOTHER LAND. LETS GO. WE MUST SAVE CANDICE. SHE IS TOO YOUNG TO BE ON HER OWN IN OTHER DIMENSIONS. SO BOTH BEVERLY AND JOHNATHON TOUCHED THE BUTTONS AS WELL AND DISAPPEARED TO BUTTON LAND AFTER BEVERLY HAD TAKEN OFF HER BUTTON RING. Now Beverly, Jonathon and Candice were all in Button Land a land full of buttons. Everywhere you walked there were buttons of all shapes and sizes. There were even buttons that could walk around and talk. Sounds scary doesn’t it? I wouldn’t want to meet a walking talking button. Would you? Jonathon looked at his grandmother Beverly and said I don’t see Candice grandma? Do you? No I don’t said Beverly but I know where your sister and my granddaughter is. We have to head in to Button Forest. So off headed Beverly and Jonathon into Button forest a forest covered with buttons. The trees were all made out of buttons. Imagine that. If you saw a tree made out of buttons what would you do? Through button forest marched Beverly and Jonathon like two soilders on a mission until they came to a cottage made out of buttons as well. We need to knock on this cottage door said Beverly to her grandson Jonathon. So they knocked on the cottage door. The door was answered by an old hunched over lady who was not made out of buttons. What do you want she screeched like an owl. I am wondering if you have a little girl with you asked Beverly. No screeched the old lady. She was about to shut the door with a loud bang but then Beverly and Jonathon heard screams of “Help”. Jonathon spoke up. I just heard my sister screaming help from your cottage. Oh is that so asked the old lady. Yes said Jonathon. Well I guess you want her back with you. I do said Jonathon. Why asked the old lady. Because she is my sister and I love her said Jonathon. And out parents would miss her terrible. No I am not letting her leave button land. I am going to turn her into the button. Now now Judith I wouldn’t do that if I were you spoke up Beverly. How do you know my name asked Judith. I am your sister the good witch who lives in the dimension called Earth said Beverly. Seriously asked Judith. Let grab my spectacles so I can find out if you are telling the truth. Judith left and search for her spectacles. Soon she came back wearing her spectacles which looked as ancient as her. Why yes that is you Beverly screeched Judith with glee. She gave her sister a hug. Its so nice of you to stop by for a visit. Come in come in for a cup of tea. No said Beverly I only came by to save my granddaughter Candice. I know if I step foot into that cottage you will turn me into a walking talking button as well as my grandson Jonathon. Oh all right I will get Candice for you but don’t you dare come back into button land again or you are all mine. As soon as Candice was released into the loving arms of her grandmother the three fled button forest as quick as a mouse. Their grandmother found a portal that took them back to Earth Land. Back in Earth Land they destroyed the button jar with the buttons in them so no other innocent sole would ever find themselves in Button Land again and risk being turned into a walking talking button.
