Moon Party

Hedda opened her Science Fiction book about teenagers partying on the moon, little realizing what was in store for her later that day... Page 34 was all about the party and how the group had to blow moon dust off their trifles. Page 35 was interrupted by her dog, barklng to go for its walk, so she reluctantly put the book down and went out with Hadrian, the believe-it-or-not name given to the dog. They hadn't gone far when Hedda encountered two of her friends, one of whom said she fancied going out to a party... "Where?" asked Hedda, remembering the party in the book. "Oh, just the moon" replied Marianne, nonchalantly. Hedda looked flabbergasted, but noticed that Jane, their other friend, was taking the news in her stride.

A rocket suddenly appeared and the three climbed in with Hadrian. How Hadrian barked as they left the world behind on their way to the moon!

They landed, and preparations for the party began, with Hedda being asked to make the trifle. "Oh, this moon dust!" she complained, remembering page 34. She tried hard to think about what she was reading on page 35 when Hadrian had barked its "I wanna go out!" bark... It was something about... something about... She couldn't remember, but felt she must go back and read it as she was getting bored on the moon. The girls ate their trifles quickly when she explained and got back in the rocket.
