Life Number Eight

Life Number Eight

There was a day in Heaven when it was so very beautiful

A spirit was sitting on a stone beside a softly flowing, gurgling stream in a beautiful golden sunset’s last evening rays – sobbing.

A being’s presence filled the whole area and filled the awareness of the spirit sitting beside the stream.

“Why are so sad today,” the being asked the spirit?

“Because I am all alone and I have no one to make me happy, be with me or help me – no one at all. Of all the family and friends I had when I lived on Earth, not one of them will help me now that I am dead and in this spirit form. I am soooo sad.” A tear from the spirit’s eye fell gently into the stream. The being smiled.

“Do you not yet realize,” said He, “that all life I give is to be perfected and many lives test others over and over again and again until the tested is perfected in aspects of my commandments and my laws? It might take several lifetimes for a human being to become perfect as it took My son Jesus to become perfect, but, no matter how many times you live and how many others lives you are tested by, you must live until you do become perfect. Otherwise, you will in the end, having failed to become perfect, be cast into that lake of fire. Oh, I know that people don’t believe in that lake of fire, pretty much, anymore, but it is to become a reality. Ask yourself…. what if?

In life you had many chances and opportunities to help family, friends and even your enemies, to offer a smile, a meal, a hug, a dollar, a room. Did you? Or did you hide away, sneak out the back door or push the responsibility of it all off on someone, anyone else, hoping they did what had to be done so that you were free to go do your own thingies?

Now, here you sit complaining that you’re all alone, no one to help you, comfort you or make you happy once in a while. You are simply getting, reaping, the harvest of your deeds to others that you did unto them when you lived the six lives you did on Earth.

You will go back to live a seventh life on Earth in a moment or two. Don’t go wrong this time or your life number eight will really be a burden for you.”

There dawned a new day in Heaven when it was so very beautiful. A stone sat by itself beside a softly flowing, gurgling stream in the early warming rays of a beautiful golden sunrise.

A newborn baby had just arrived on Earth with a slap, a cry and a whole new life ahead.

If you understand – do some good for someone else today – while you still can.
