I'd say love would keep us from pain

Just as our love inflicts more pain.the terror of our bond is sharp enough to cut stone. My heart is pierced by a relentless hurt, and you, too, feel the heavy ache settling deep into your bones. Yet, when Love attempts to put the terror together so the heart will not swell past breaking,it must be handled gently We are both wounded by torment, bruised by suffering, and battered by endless complaints. The ears grow to reason, seeking solace only in the quiet of our shared agony. I call it the pain of pain itself—where you are terrified, swelling with fear, pierced to the core, and scared of the very terror that binds us. Wisdom bites at our heels, and desperation burns like a slow, consuming fire
