“I Wasn’t Expecting That”

It was a calm and quiet Christmas Day. There was a dusting of snow on the ground and inside the house all was quiet. Angela Linton awoke. She was all snug and cozy in her bed. She lay in bed until she realized she wasn’t going to be able to sleep anymore so up she got to start her day. She lived alone in her apartment. Her boyfriend was going to come over in the evening and they were planning on having a quiet Christmas in her apartment. She went to the kitchen put on some Christmas music and made a delicious breakfast of eggs, bacon and toast. After breakfast she turned on the outdoor and indoor Christmas lights and opened up Christmas presents under the tree that she had received from family and friends as well as Christmas Cards. In the evening when Jim came over he handed her a box and in it was a ring. Oh wow said Angela in shock and surprise I wasn’t expecting that. Well asked Jim will you marry me? Yes, yes, yes screamed Angela in sudden excitement. And that was the Christmas and Christmas gift that she wasn’t expecting and where she could say the word “I Wasn’t Expecting That.
