Holiday stroll

The elderly man went for a stroll in town and marveled at the twinkling lights. The large tree twinkled with colored lights and he stood in front of it admiring the ornaments and flashing colors. He had not been to the tree lighting earlier this week. A young woman approached the tree also. "Lovely isn't it?", she said. "Yes, indeed", the man replied. "Did you go to the tree lighting"?, she said. "No, I did not have the pleasure" he replied.

His gaze turned to the left where a large Santa in a sleight with four blowup balloons stood. "My, my, how grand" said the old man. "The town goes all out for the holidays", she said. "Indeed!" he said.

All the stores were lit up with colored lights and the trees on the sidewalk had bright white lights connected to them.

"Well, enjoy your holiday, miss!" "Thank you, merry christmas!"

The man turned and slowly walked on slightly slumped in posture. The woman hurriedly caught up with him. "Do you have Christmas plans sir?". "No, not currently", he replied. "Please do join me and my family"! "That would be lovely"!
