Heaven

HEAVEN

In the Bible there are many scriptures about heaven. Here one is of my favorites. These verses come from the Living Bible which is my favorite translation

John 14 verses 2-4

There are many homes up there where my Father lives, and I am going to prepare them for your coming. When everything is ready, then I will come and get you. So that you can always be with me where I am.. If this weren't so I would tell you plainly. And you would know where I am and how to get there.

Heaven is a place where Christians go after they leave this world. It is a place where you get everything you need. It is a place where time stands still. 1 day is the same as 1000 days. While we are on earth we think a lot of heaven. It gives us a good feeling knowing our love ones are waiting for us in heaven.

There is no distance in heaven. God is in charge along with his son Jesus. Most people think of the Pearly Gates as the entrance to heaven. Actually the Pearly gates will surround the New Jerusalem when the earth is destroyed and God brings his kingdom down to earth.

Once when I was a kid I told my Dad I could not wait to get to heaven. Then I would have everything I needed. My Dad said “I would not want to go to heaven. I don't want anything I didn't earn.” My Dad was a man who thought everything revolved around him. He was wrong everything revolves around God.

I have been given two visions of Heaven.

The first I am kneeling at the feet of God with my twin daughters on either side of me praising his holy name. I only saw my girls once because of things there mother did. I can't wait to get to heaven and be with my daughters. No one will ever separate us again.

The second one also happens in heaven. I will be standing in heaven with my 5 daughters standing around me. There will be my twins, My God daughter who is as close as a real daughter, Her daughter who I call my granddaughter, and my adopted daughter who is the stepdaughter of one of favorite nieces.

God has been good to me. There has been a few problems but God stood along side me and helped me through. I thank God constantly for all his love and his help. There are so many friends and relatives up in heaven I can't wait to get up there and join them.

One last thing. In heaven you not get everything you want, but you get everything you need.
