Hand grenades. An explosive story
Hand grenades are small explosive or incendiary or gas or smoke bombs that are used for war and crowd control. The explosive ones either throw shrappnel (that is tiny shards of metal) in all directions to kill or maim or they emmit a loud noise and bright flash to disorient the enemy. Incediary is used to start fires for destruction of equipment and buildings to deny use of them to the enemy. Gas grenades can contain a deadly gas but those are supposed to be outlawed. They normally contain a crowd dispersal gas such as tear gas. Smoke grenades are used as marking devices for aircraft to see and also for cover smoke so the enemy can not see to aim at you.
Sin is like these grenades. It kills and maims, it marks and hides, it burns and destroys, and it poisons. The devil slings them at you from every direction in hopes that if it does not destroy you all together that it will at least maim you and destoy your faith or mark you with shame or hide you from the truth.
The whole amour of God protects us from all of these.
The Full Armor of God Ephesians 6:10
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles( Grenades ) of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth ( Protects from smoke and gas grenades that leaves you poisened, blinded and hidden), and having on the breastplate of righteousness ( Protects you from fire and destruction and guards your heart ); 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace ( Keeps you on the right path and helps you stand against all attacks) ; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. ( Deflects the grenades away from you) 17 And take the helmet of salvation ( Protects your mind and gives you peace), and the sword of the Spirit ( Gives you strength to fight back with the trueth of God), which is the word of God: I did not add to it nor take away from the scripture. I made notes of explaination and I hope that this TRUE story helps someone to get Gods armor on.
