but her mind and heart weren't so little.
Naive she was and innocently adorable
believing that babies came from Heaven.
And being a good girl means God will grand her wish for a baby brother.
So good she was,
she never even cried when she fell from a tree and had lots of deep cuts and blood were oozing from everywhere.
Nope can't cry or else God will hear.
Finally one night her baby arrived
Mama got skinny again.
Goodness that's a fat baby girl,
God must have fed her too much milk
now He's giving her to me.
Didn't I pray for a baby boy so that we can go dive for pearls for mama?
Oh no!
God made a mistake.
It was my cousin who asked for a baby sister
instead she got a tiny brother.
Oh we have to exchange our babies
but mama seems to be very happy to have this fatty baby.
She's giving her the same look she always gives me that I really really like.
I'll have to explain to her that God made a mistake.
Mama said look sweetheart your baby sister
Goodness she's bald and big eyes,
but oh so cute even if she's a fatty.
Mama said you have to love and protect your baby sister at all times.
Promises were made and definitely no babies exchanged.
God knows best, mama said.
And sisters they loved, awaiting for the brothers to come from Heaven...
