God, His Child and the Devil

(A Humorous Look at How Evil is dealt with from a Human’s Perspective)

Somewhere just after the beginning of time, as God was creating man in his likeness, when he began having an issue with his one of the angels. Everything God made good, this angel would find a way to corrupt or even destroy it. Yet God continued to recreate and forgive as He’s always done.

Time and time again, this angel made it his mission to irritate God and keep everyone in Heaven on pins and needles. So in order to restore peace in his kingdom, God had no choice but to rid Heaven of this “angel”.

And without warning, God caught the “angel” in the midst of his last and final shenanigan, donkey kicked him out of Heaven, banishing him from returning ever again and down to the earth he went. The trumpets sounded and all of Heaven rejoiced! “Vengeance is mine,” He said, and the Devil will get his just due.

Not too soon afterwards, prayers and cries from man could be heard from all over the earth as whispers traveled from angel to angel. He knew something had to be done once and for all.

So when the time came, God sent his child down to earth to teach as many souls as possible of the way, the truth and the light, to redeem as many souls as he can and he had a time limit of 6 months to complete this mission because he had an even greater task in store for him. God wanted his child to go everywhere on the face of the earth no matter what. And of course the child did as His Father had asked, without question.

After redeeming as many of mankind as he could within his given timeframe, God’s child descended into the gates of hell to redeem as many souls as he could there as well. He comes upon a lost soul that asked him if he was scared and God’s child said no, my child yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil for God is with me.

It wasn’t long before the word spread throughout the devil’s playground what was going on. The pain and suffering of the souls in purgatory began to dissipate. The darkness made way for the light and what was dead, was being resurrected.

This infuriated the devil so much; he had never felt so much pain in his existence before. Everything he did, was being undone. He exploded with anger as some of his followers begin to slowly turn one by one. He yells at God and said, “What in the hell are you trying to do to me? You cast me down here so I can do with it what I please!!” (Oh how the devil is a liar!) God’s child raises his finger, shook it from side to side and said, “tisk, tisk, thou shall not bear false witness.” And continued saving souls.

With a dumbfounded look on his face, a revelation came to the Devil. His dominion was being destroyed by God’s equivalent of a mortal problem child. You know the kind that never gets in trouble for the trouble they cause. The one who in the eyes of their parents can never do any wrong. The kid none of the other kids want to be around, the “bad seed”, the “black sheep” of the family, well you get the idea. Surely goodness and mercy follows him wherever he goes, right?

And did it ever!

All the forgiven souls begin their ascension towards heaven as God’s child just smiles. Everything the devil did, the Son undid. Whatever was evil was now good. Where hatred and chaos existed, peace and love began to reign.

The devil continually tried turning his followers back to him but it wasn’t working as he had planned. So finally when the devil could bear no more, after the exhaustion of turning souls consumed him, somewhere deep inside his empty hateful spirit, he begged, he pleaded and at the point of being brought to tears, he hollers at God, “Will you come get yo’ child!!!???!!!??!!!”

The Son just smiled as Heaven’s light began to appear from his spirit and God manifested from within him, the devil’s jaw hit the ground with a thud. God said to him, “this is what you get for doing what you did. As I was creating man, you corrupted him, as I created the beauty of plants and flowers, you killed them. Everything I’ve done good, you’ve tried to undo. I am the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. No weapon you form will ever prosper.

Don’t make me have to come back down here again. You’ve obviously forgotten my golden rule. Now pick your mouth up off the ground before something crawls in it.” So as God and His Son turn to ascend towards Heaven just before they faded away, God’s child turned his head to the devil and stuck his tongue out at him with a smile and God said, Son?!?

The moral of the story is, you’ll never get away with wrongdoings no matter who you are, where you are or what you do. Karma is life’s other guarantee!
