For Him I Fell
As I walk down the aisle, I can't help but remember when we first met–the day I knew he was going to be my forever. I had been having a bad day; things just seemed to slip through my fingers. I’d lost my job. I feared for my future. In an attempt to clear my mind I decided to go for a walk, hoping nature would calm me down. Though it would not fix my problems, I hoped it might bring a temporary escape. I was lost in my thoughts, worrying about how I would survive , when he walked into me. I was annoyed at first–why couldn't he watch where he was going? Then I looked up.
His eyes. The first thing I noticed was his eyes. They were a perfect shade of Blue, one that filled me up with the warm feelings of summer. My problems seemed to vanish when he smiled, effortlessly perfect. We went for coffee, talked for hours about nothing and everything all at once. I had never felt like this before– like the world was whole, like I was no longer living for tomorrow but that I was living for us, for our future.
And now, as I look into his eyes, ready to say “I do” , that same feeling fills me. I can’t wait to start our lives together.
