FIRST NIGHT WITH PUSS CAT

James once had a cat whose name was Puss. One afternoon when he arrived home from school, he was told that they had just bought a cat. He became very excited and began searching for her with so much enthusiasm that he forgot about lunch. But his mum told him that the cat was too shy to come out, so she hid under the fridge.
‘I wondered how big the cat is to fit such a tiny space.’ He said with a grin.
In time Puss - the cat - became freer and more acquainted with her new family. There was a night when she was so lonely in the sitting room, that she climbed the bed, where James and his brother slept, in a bid to join them. James was scared when he heard a faint meow cry while adjusting on the bed. This was very strange to him because those were still Puss's early days and cats are believed to be easy target of spirits in the part of Africa, where he lived. The sight of Puss eyes glowing in the dark room didn’t make the thought friendlier. He got up quickly and took her back to the sitting room, but she came back and disconnected him from dreamland. He grew angry and repeated the process severally but got the same result. He then decided to place Puss on top of a tall fridge and locked the door, where the fridge was, so He could finally sleep. Her quiet meow pierced through the night and made him feel guilty. He then decided to give the cat’s idea a try and brought her to the bed.
The next morning was one of the few mornings James would never forget. He watched Puss waking up between him and his brother, stretching her two separate pairs of legs and yawning so freely. Such blissful view added a divine beauty to his morning. From then the two became very close till the inevitable happened.
He now wishes he could have one of such nights again.
