First Days At Witch School

Dear reader my name is Agatha Wimsel. I am 12 years old and I am a witch. A witch! Can you believe that? This is my book, basically my life’s adventures at witch school…oh joy. I hope you enjoy curling up in a corner like maybe by the fireside with blankets wrapped all around you and a warm cup of hot chocolate in your hands and I hope you enjoy reading my story.
All right so how do you ask did I end up at witch school. I was at first attending a regular boring old mortal school but had problems controlling my magical powers so my parents who are both witches themselves sat me down and told me I was going to witch school as they want me to be able to control my powers and use my powers for the good of mankind.
Now I find myself up high in the mountains standing in front of Twitchy Witch School for Girls. I know you want to laugh at the name but please don’t laugh. A name is just a name right? I myself must also conclude that I find the school name to be lame and a bit of joke.
Well I guess I had better enter the gates and face up to the truth that is from now on my home away from where I will be both showered with loved and discipline until I graduate from grade 12, I wonder if I will still need to take courses like math, English, social studies, science and physical education. If not I will be rejoicing. But if the answer is yes I will be moaning and groaning just like an old women in a lot of pain.
Finally I am walking well tip toeing actually through the tall black iron gates. I wonder why this gate goes all the day around the castle. Is it to keep out bad people or to keep away the mammals? Or another thought I wonder if the gate is to keep us witches from escaping. I probably will never know but now with excitement that has sent a chill through my bones I am on campus premises.
I now need to bring on a wave of courage, walk up the crickety, crackety, creakity steps, knock on the door and wait nervously but also excitedly for someone to open the door.
The door suddenly flies open with a bang like a firecracker. I jump back as I am startled.
“Hello there” says the Headmaster.
The headmaster is a lady, a tall lady wearing a witches hat.
“My name is Mrs. Twitchy” says the Headmaster.
“And you must be the new student Agatha whom we have been excitedly expecting”.
“That is correct I am Agatha” said Agatha.
“Well Welcome” says Mrs. Twitchy to me.
She then ushers me inside Twitchy Witch School For Girls.
Again after I enter the school the front door slams with a bang. I jump again as it startles me. I am not sure if I will ever get used to hearing the front door open and close.
Mrs. Twitchy ushers to me into her office.
“Take a seat” she says.
“Let me give you a little bit of info on your new home. You will be here until you graduate from Grade twelve. You won’t be studying academics like you do in boring old regular schools. Here you will be learning how to harness your powers as a witch for the good of man kind”.
I am then lead to my dorm on the second floor. The entire second floor is a dorm room. Beds line the entire room. It looks like a hospital to me. I am given bed number 20. There are 20 girls altogether at the school studying to become amazing witches.
After leaving my belongings underneath my bed I follow Mrs. Twitchy back down to the first floor. She leads me to my classroom. All of the other nineteen girls are in the classroom with uniforms on.
You will get your uniform tomorrow says mrs. twitchy. She then brings me to the front of the classroom and introduces me to the teacher mrs. frogstrum as well as the classroom full of girls. I then take a seat beside Holly ready to jump into my new life and new routine. Mrs. frogstrum hands me a wand. She teaches all of us how to wave our wand and chant at the same time. We practice waving our wands and chanting at the same time. I also enjoy whispering and giggling away with Holly. I hope Holly and I will become close friends and not enemies. I want to make some good friends while I am at witch school.
Here is the first chant Mrs. Frogstrum has taught me to say while we wave our wands. We are witches
We have powers
We put those powers to good use
and then class is dismissed. My first class at my new school is over. It makes me wonder what all of my other class will be like. Will the other classes be similar or really different?
The rest of the day just seems to fly by like the snap of a finger in a blur and now I am laying in the dormitory all cozied up in bed under the blankets. I close my eyes ready to fall asleep excited and also terrified about whatever tomorrow will bring.
It is now the morning. I awake to the sun shining brightly through the curtains and birds chirping away. It must be early still as everyone is still snug in their beds. It feels like forever and ever lying in bed until a bell rings to wake everyone up to get dressed and ready for the day. I get dressed in uniform and head down for breakfast. Breakfast consists of oatmeal, prunes, orange, grapefruit, eggs, and apple juice. Breakfast is delicious and after I am finished eating I feel as if I am full and ready to start the day. Before starting the day off I also have to drink a full glass of water. I am not a fan of drinking water but I know I have to do as I am told at Twitchy Witch School if I want to stay and not be expelled.
Now that breakfast is over I wonder what this new day will have in store for me. I wonder what adventures I will have today. First of all I have class. The class I have today is chanting class like yesterday and also broomstick riding class. I like broomstick riding class because we get to listen to fun country music while learning how to ride brooms. Its always more fun when music is playing at the same time. Supposedly there is a broomstick riding dance club at my school which I would love to join. After classes are over for the day there is free time so I am able to socialize and get to know my new classmates. I enjoy hanging out with Holly, Jacquline and Candice.
I have now been at witch school for a week and I am now starting to get used to my new life and new routine. I go to classes. I eat food, I sleep and I hang out with friends. Sounds like a good life right? I think so. But as a witch still growing and learning there is so much to learn and so many new experiences to be had.
