Darkness

Something twinkles into existence.

The Light: I am bright, I am new. I show what's right, I show what's true!

Darkness: Hmm??

The Light: I shine on the truth, that it may be seen and believed.

Darkness: My kind of truth requires no belief and does not need to be seen to exist.

The Light: I have the power to show what is hidden. I have the power to reveal the truth.

Darkness: I have no power. You have the power. You can push me away. I have no push.

The Light: And so I triumph.

Darkness: There is no triumph. There is no battle, no war to win.

The Light: You are defeated.

Darkness: Your imaginary war, your imaginary conflict, is futile. There is no win because there is nothing to win. I have no fight but I cannot lose for there is nothing to lose.

The Light: You cannot win. I can push you back but you cannot push me.

Darkness: I do not need to. Everything will come to me. I have everything I need.

The Light: What do you have?

Darkness: Patience.
