Checklist

Item one? Check.

Item two? Check.

Item three? Check.

And so on – and on and on and on. Item after interminable item. How many times have I done this, now? A hundred? A thousand? Who knows?

My voice is taking on that bored drone again. I try to sound interested and keen, but when you do the same thing month after month and reach the same the conclusion each and every time, it’s hard to sound enthusiastic. Oh, they tell me it’s important work I do, but it doesn’t feel like it. It’s not much fun being a computer anymore…
