Blood Lost

Anna told me a poem of her a pain as a child

Blood lost at the hands of your own mother

Counting all the drops of blood

That poured from my head

Which left my head pounding

Wondering how much it was

Pouring down my cheeks

You used your shoe heel as weapon

To smash my head

As a child I just survived

No one cared I needed hospital treatment

I was Just in shock all the time

Wondering when the next beating was

I just got up and walked away

Looking back as a adolescent

Just wondering what a dreadful beast you were

Wasn’t once was it

Mentally insane you were

You should have been kept in a cage

Where they put mentally insane

You just got away with it

You ruined my life
