Blessed and Highly Favored
I was blessed to have been born in the good old USA and adopted at the same age the Masia disappeared, age thirteen.
I have been Blessed to have been brought up in a beautiful small West Virginia town called Paw Paw. It was so nice they named it twice surrounded by great mountains, and grass the color of emerald green.
When hunting after a torrential rain, the Potomac River bank was muddy. I lost my footing and slipped into the River, with the rushing muddy brown water up to my nose, but I was saved by holding onto the stock of my pellet gun.
What happened shortly after was very close to my father losing a son.
When the firearm slapped the mud the cocking mechanism sprang open, and only by the grace of God, it locked onto a nearby stump allowing me to pull myself free of certain death from the rushing chocolate-brown Potomac River.
Reflecting on that moment gives me quite a shiver.
I have been Blessed to have survived a heavy weapon-laden military aircraft that lost an engine and fell five hundred feet before regaining our altitude.
After such a horrifying incident the faith in my creator was renewed.
I was blessed to have had a gun aimed at me and the bullet passed through an open passenger window of the car I was in. The bullet passed right in front of my nose and smashed the driver's side window instead of passing through my head.
A fraction of an inch closer the red hot lead would have smashed into my head and, I would have been dead.
After being wrongly accused of a crime and facing twenty years in prison, I was blessed by a man who saved me from committing suicide, and thereafter all charges were dropped.
They tried to bury me, but they failed to see the fortitude of my spirit, and all their plans for my long-term incarceration were flopped.
After all this and that, there must be a good reason the creator has kept me vibrantly dwelling among the living.
It may be partially because of a meek personality that is always giving.
I am truly and eternally grateful for each breath taken and each day of life I have savored.
I know I have arrived here for a purpose, here for a reason, here for a season, without a doubt blessed and highly favored.
