America a story of atrophy

As a child life was patriotic.
Fourth of July and the pledge of allegance, baseball, hot dogs, apple pie and Chevrolet! "For God and country!" was the battle cry. What on earth happened?
Did we grow decadent and complacent? Did we loose touch with the struggles of our ancestors and become ungrateful? Did we become rich and spoiled and unsatiable?
Yes, but not because of growth and progress.
It all happened because we made ourselves god.
We slowly drifted away from rightousness, taunted and lured by temptation and self reliance.
We became slaves to our own ambitions and desires. We lost our true love for others and in that process we lost our humanity.
We forgot what our true purpose is and tried to find new purpose in material gains and fancy charity. We tried to find it in our works and we forgot to live.
Radio and television and then computers all guided us into this overcrowed box with hints and innuendos that America was a farce! That America was at fault for all the worlds woes! Well folks it was not Americas fault..... it is americans fault. We accepted the devils temptations and let him reprogram our hearts and we lost our soul! We all know how it happened we just choose to deny it. Yes we were duped but "WE" chose to be duped! Who's fault is it? Well we should all look in the mirror at the same time and see.
