Actor

He works door to door as a salesman. Every day he endures his wife’s scolding and insults. His relatives are making relentless attempts to deprive him of his share of the family property. When he visits his in-laws, he is met with cold neglect — no one even offers him a cup of tea. Poverty, complaints, and disregard press in on him from all sides, as though determined to turn him into a Valmiki. And yet, every evening, he goes to theatre rehearsals. In comic roles, I have not found his equal in this district.
