Although lost to history, one may imagine that the origin of the phrase 'to face the music' is that Scottish military formations placed their musicians in the rear. So soldiers had the choice of going forward into battle, or turning back and listening to the bagpipes. This accounts for their bravery.

to live among the daffodil folk...
slip down the rainslickened drainpipe,
suddenly pop out
the GARGANTUAN SPOUT,
minuscule as alice, shout
yippee-yi-yee!
in wee exultant glee
to be leaving behind the LARGE
THREE-DENALI GARAGE.

enlightenment is the ass-end of epiphany.

|
Someone said my poem was “a moving piece”. They gave me the gift of epiphany. The implication being that everything from each of us is part of a whole. Each experience, thought, intent, action or utterance, is a “piece”. This is why art is a portal of sorts, a gateway or a bridge. It links us one to all. Each artist, an engineer who builds a “piece”, constructed from the light inside their soul. Each point of light that shared provides illumination of our greater whole.

Dios es la suma de todas las epifanías.
-- god is the sum of all epiphanies.

|
Once, I had a disturbing epiphany of how fast life flashes before our eyes. It won't be long until we're dead. And, it won't be much longer than that, that we're forgotten.

the only real weapons that I use are my words.

MARANAO QUOTES 6 izaw-izaw : Piphandayan o Kokok so Danganan a Bolawan, na kagiya makambowat na lagid o BakaAso a kapaka Dangkag iyan

On my 21'st birthday I came to two epiphanies. One being an adult means nothing, everyone's just making it up as they go. And two driving is basically bumper cars, except you try and NOT hit the other cars.
