Smile Exercises for the blues

Smile Exercises for the blues

Smile, even when your heart feels blue
Smile, even a straight one will do

Smile, even when the ground is shaking
Smile, even when your heart is breaking

Smile, widely, smile broadly, chase the greys away
Smile, in the sun, or in the wind, or even on rainy days

Smile, when you feel like shouting
Smile, when you feel like being still
Smile, when life is hard to bear
Smile, when its hard to care

Smiling when the world seems dark,
Does something to your heart
Smile, when the world seems terrifying
Smile, when you feel like crying

The simple action of your smile,
changes a day from dark to grey.
Smile at a stranger or a friend,
Smile with a shiver, or with a bend.

Smiling is something that I hope will never ever end.

l like this. Not many people smile anymore, it's like everyone has given up, but children smile at the simplest of things,we need to remember those days. Thank you for sharing your poem. J
