Where I Am

So here I am in this place I don’t know
Pushing forward but unsure where to go
The decision is made and there’s no going back
What to do now, how to get back on track

The decision was made for me and it was the right thing
But I never imagined that I would take off my ring
Sadness surrounds me, my future visions all gone
But your nasty behavior couldn’t go on

You may not have noticed but you pushed me away
You dictated my actions and I couldn’t obey
Your need for attention was bigger than the sea
It took my love for you away from me

So my choices consist of feeling happy or sad
But my suffering has ended and for that I am glad
So onward I’ll walk with a smile on my face
Discovering myself again until I find my right place

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
