The poem(s) are below...

Introspection

Keep telling myself that I’m the best
Give me a moment I need some rest
Give me a moment to clear my brain
For there is no pain, when there is gain

I know it will get better soon
Just an ordinary afternoon
The world won't be offset
A day I won't soon forget

This will certainly be the worst
The nice guy will surely finish first

You could try to write the poem in third person, then it would not be so much prose... For example 'he kept telling himself he was the best.' Any help or suggestions just ask Evan.. Welcome to poetry soup..

This is a work in progress. I just wanted to get ideas down on a page. I realize there are too many "be" verbs. If you came from my Instagram page, feel free to dm me any comments, questions, or criticisms.
