Acceptance Craving

One day, one moment, one time,
Someone caught attention to my surprise.
A sudden glimpse or a hint of something,
I was too small to understand anything.

A part of me was happy and lively,
A part of him was the same likely.
Our encounter was the topic of discussion,
Amongst the young mind, one or the other conclusion.

Patriarchy ideology of the society,
Gave arouse to my anxiety,
A equal status is unacceptable,
Wondering reaction about the sexual stature.

Bullied, demeaned,trolled by others
I don't know if it will end any further.
Same story from the mouth of teacher
Not making it any better.

Teacher said "did you visit the doctor"?
Confused mind, was I the visitor?
 Digging deep understood the context
It was pointer towards my attraction, what the heck!

Today somehow gathered courage,
To spill the beans of marriage.
Presenting my decision, my choice,
I was able to let out my voice.

Highly unexpected but turned to be beautiful,
A supportive hands was something not cruel.
I was elated, an ecstatic feeling arouse
To take a step ahead, no need of pause.

It's normal for opposite to attract,
But it's not applicable to all in fact.
I am captivated towards guy,
Thousands of minds will ask why?

There is nothing to loathe about,
It's who we are and we together will come out.
We deserve not be judged,
We too deserve to love and to be loved.

Let's not make it a fuss or a topic to discuss
But an ignition point to move ahead in this race,no rush
Accept, encourage, support in all ways
Not just for today, tomorrow but for all days!
