Behind

I'm shattering inside myself
I'm not sure who I am to be
Without the love of them, I know
It's much harder to feel free

A piece of me is trapped within
The cage I've left behind
And despite the time and distance
The past keeps tugging at my mind

So what am I supposed to do
With the memories of those I love
When I am nonexistent
In the shadow cast by Him above

What can a single human do
Competing with the "three fold cord"
It's not as if I left you behind
Simply since I was bored

I'm shattering inside myself
Can you hear me calling out your name
Without the love of them, I know
My life will never be the same
