Lost In Thoughts

Your mind is lost
Your mind is gone
Tossing and turning, in the middle of the night
Not knowing that the one you love the most is gone
Wonder in thoughts, but lost with words
You pray to God that your voice be heard
Thinking back of the old memories
Bringing up the past, is now history
The love you have for him is unconditionally true.
Knock, knock, and knock.
Someone is outside, but whom?
You walked down the stairs and asked, “Who it is?”
No one answers,
No sniff, and
Only the sound of the cold wind
You looked through the peep hole; however it is blocked.
You asked again, yet the only response were
Knock, knock and knock.
You looked out your window, but unable to see
You have taken the chance and with a deep breath
Counting one, two and three.
You unlocked the door and opened wide
In a surprise with watery eyes
All in your mind and lost of words all you can think
Your voice was truly heard
In interruption,” Baby I love you and sorry for the lost time.”
A tight snug around your waist and then your whole body felt in place.
God has let it be known, that he is the only one, capable to bring your solider
home.
