A Rose from Forgotten Friend

A Rose from Forgotten Friend
Let me share a story of a rose
which I found, in my old book
N believe me, I don't remember
I don't remember who gave it
I don't remember, when i received it
I'm wondering about it's colour
I'm wondering why I kept it in the book
to reminisce it later?Or
the book is my only hiding location?
Look at it,
It must have been soft, vibrant coloured petals
It must have been green lively stem & leaves
It must have been sweet fragnanced, some day
Which must have been brought smile on me
& maybe, there must have been such bond between you and me
Don't know how much time has passed
But you see nothing is like before
Colour faded, fragrance vanished
It doesn't hold any memory of yours
Everything turned brown, Everything is dried
A question kept resurfacing in my mind
That why , why I forgot you?

Lovely pause for thought Sakshi. It's always nice to know someone cared.
