Her Mere Presence Took Him Higher

The elephant's in the closet
the skeleton's in the room
the moth has died in ecstasy
a love the flame consumed

The wolves are always at the door
until you hold my hand
but the words they will not leave my chest
for fear you won't understand

Like the thunders mating call
to the lightning he desires
she zaps her glow and leaves him there
her mere presence took him higher

The sun will shine
it always will
beneath we start a blaze
and protect it from the rain and all the games that winter plays

Let the silk you spin be strong enough
to hold a heart within
then when the parade of stars appears
we can dream it all again

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
