Gods Ask

A prayer fifteen seconds long
The rules, ten sentences of what’s wrong
A perseverance like an everyday chore
The place, quiet room behind a closed door
An offering worth a widow's last piece of silver
A congregation is where only two gather
For we only have to seek his word and keep our word
But in return we drip his eye as we demand the world
