Sunshine

Your smile is like a ray of sunshine
Every time I look at your face
I hope one day that I would find
Someone like you to invade my empty space
Although, I had another and he wasn’t so very nice
Every time we were alone, the mood was cold as ice
I can’t believe I cheated myself and settled for a lot less
But the day I met you, I felt like I was blessed
Whenever I am upset, because things got out of hand
You always calm me down; okay yes, you’re the man
And whenever I needed someone to talk to
I would always call on you
And you never had a problem lending me your ear
Because you didn’t want me to shed a tear
Thanks for being a good friend to me
And help to set my mind free
One day I hope that I would find
Somebody whose smile is like a ray of sunshine
