Betrayal

Thank you for stabbing me in the back
Self-respect is something you lack
No one has treated me worse than you
But hey that nothing new
Somebody once told me when I was small
If they can’t respect themselves
They won’t respect you at all
They were right about one thing
I need to stop taking you under my wing
I used to love you, I used to fight
You were perfect in my eyes, not a flaw in sight
You betrayed me and left without a warning or letter
You and I both know I deserve so much better
I hope you are happy with the life you chose
But you left something as delicate as a rose
You broke something so beautiful, so perfect
And if you can walk away without any guilt
Then you just weren’t worth it
