Clouds Heavy with Tears
Nature and nurture clash inside her restless mind,
Unarguably adrift, a vessel lost in time.
Her head cradled in clouds, soft as whispered lies,
Unrelenting storms brew behind distracted eyes.
Bereft of understanding, incorrigible flame,
She burns through warnings, reckless, without shame.
A fragile adolescent tangled in revolt,
Pregnant with tomorrow’s pain, a story left untold.
Anguish coils like smoke, shading tears in the rain,
Sorrow seeps through cracks, a slow, unyielding stain.
Foreboding hangs like thunder, heavy on the heart,
Each choice a fracture, tearing worlds apart.
Distrusting hands reach out, but she slips through their grasp,
Unreliable, disappointing — the echoes of a gasp.
The fire she set consumes the fragile walls of trust,
Selfish flames licking, turning hope to dust.
In reckless abandon, she shatters fragile peace,
Without regard for the pain, the ache that will never cease.
Peer pressure, abortions carved in shadow’s deep,
A delinquent’s path where sorrow never sleeps.
Her wrong is a sorrow thick with unspoken blame,
A weight that bends the sky, drowning out the flame.
And yet, beneath the storm, the heavy, trembling night,
A young soul fights the darkness — lost, but holding tight.
