Hearken oh mother of light
Listen to the crys of thy children
Who cry to you for inkspiration
Hear us we humbly pray
Listen dear mother of light
She who illuminates the sun
Our flesh is from your soil, your sons
Do we even know our rights?
Mother of light, help me to write
Let my muse be free like a mouse
That I pen down my verse like pearls
So I can live while am gone
Mother of light, guide our leaders aright
Let our lands flow like rivers
That we might have an abundance of harvest
Not of blood or youths taken in thier prime
Hearken oh mother of light
The supplications of thy children
Who needs to be inkspired
To write a nation anew.
