You Gotta Believe Me

You gotta believe,/ I aint' done nothin' wrong./ You accuse me of stealin'/ Cuz I'm Black & I'm strong./ You go out your way,/ To throw me into a gate./ Then,/ You got guts to tell me.../ "Better not look your way"!/ If I were a White man,/ I'd be home, layin' asleep./ But, I'm not a White man.../ So you're shepard,/ I'm sheep./ You cane me with billy-club/ & say I fought back./ Then you throw me in jail,/ & say,/ "Sit back & relax."/ The phone on the wall says,/ "NO (F@%K'N) BLACKS USE THE PHONE!!!"/ So you gotta believe me.../ I aint' done nothin' wrong.
