Me , Myself and I

a world turning
back in time
that always seems
to cross the line

a lonely feeling
deep inside
without a trace
alone to die...

just me myself and I

so here I sit
and eat the fig
as though I didn't care

I'm lost inside
my selfish pride
behind this golden stare

now all is said
from what's been done
years that pass
that yet to come

so here I sit
in misery
with no where left to run

so many times
I hide inside
this life that shouldn't be

but now the mind
is mesmerized
for all the world to see

face to face
eye to eye
drifting off
in backward times

just myself and I
