Stars of the Sky

Stars of the Sky

Countless lights
Flickering and flying
Each carrying a special wish
Or shining for a loved one
A soul that is gone but never gone
An endless galaxy
Stars upon stars
Some burn out
Some shine far into the future
All serve to bring light
To the darkness of night

The last time I wrote a poem was almost exactly 2 years ago, I may be a little rusty, but I’m back:)

If this is rusty... I love how we are drawn to the stars..how when we lose loved ones, we see them as a star up there, out of reach but still in sight. The excitement of those fast and furious opening lines.
