Panic Attack

Eyes
Darting around the room,
not focussing on anything
Can’t focus on anything.
Watering, blurring my vision
I cannot see.

Hands
Sweat on my palms,
fingers trembling.
Not enough strength
to grip anything
I cannot feel.

Stomach
Tied in knots,
somersault after somersault.
My lunch wants to say hello,
just try to breathe
I cannot breathe.

Mind
Racing in circles,
images flashing by.
They always said,
“Try happy thoughts”
I cannot think.

It feels like
this is the end.

That is exactly how it feels. You will find a lot of people here suffering the same. Maybe knowing that helps a little. Welcome to PoetrySoup :)
