Modern Heroes

I know a hero
A part of the modern one
He does heroic deeds
but praised by none

Boarding that plane
with tears in his eyes
hoping not to leave
hoping to survive

Enslave by others
hardwork beyond imagining
Blood and sweat pouring
baring pain, teeth grinding

He cried each night
resisting loneliness and fright
forgetting himself fully
denying sentiments and rights

Immeasurable is his bravery
in a battle alone he fights
In foreign land nowhere to find
for the future of his wife and child

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
