I Remember

Tell me what happened
That Saturday night
You told me to run
I wanted to fight
Don't get so angry-
The shadows will talk
I try not to trip
On this tightrope I walk
Could you please and thanks
Fill in the blanks?
I promise I won't tell...

We were running away, running away
I remember
It was all in my head, everyone said
but that September...
All the thoughts that tripped me up inside
They gave me strength
All the pieces come together
Suddenly now I remember!
