Succubus

Intrinsic behavior
I am my own savior
Love's a joy
Not a labor

Rather be in your good favor

Kiss me I'm not real
Or so it seems to me
Nothing's all I feel
Or so it seems to be

What you're chasing is a ghost
Nobody's home
I'm just a host

So just leave me alone

I never wanted all this static
It never hurts to be pragmatic
Nothing's all you feel
When you're alive
But you're not real

I'm not alive but I'm not dead
I live only in your head

I don't exist
So don't resist

Just kiss me I'm not real

The only moments that I feel
Are the ones that I steal

So kiss me and make me real

Rebecca, the sense of yearning and desire expressed in your poem is almost palpable. Very moving. I enjoyed it immensely. Take care. Jim

Rebecca, I had to read this poem 3X in order to appreciate the depth of your thought. Amazing!
