Locust of green
       Swarm of yellow
       Procession,
       Snakish march along
       The snaking path
       Obeisance!

       Mother,
       Dark fertile mother of
              Ijesa-isu Land
       Giant potter of thousand fingers
       Meek moulder of Midas touch
       Age-long furnace of golden embers
       Behold a citadel
       Alas!
