The poem(s) are below...

Our emperor

Our emperor sits dejected
Upon his quiet mare
His gaze gives dire inspection
Amongst the charred ground and air
Of a battle that once breathed here
A fight for his grand empire
blue and grey, both his brothers remains
His heart breaks from the sight

Our emperorer was not born into
Nor did he inherit his ascension
Our emperor was chosen,
By the people.
Chosen. Unlike those from prior times
To lead them through this tempest
And now that war is ending
A nation he has saved

His eyes and heart are weary
For he too feels the pain
And before the dust has settled
He will Sacrifice the same
And one day they will build statues
And monuments in his name
For our emperor is of the people
And from the people is where he came
