I'M Trying

When nothing goes right,
go left—They say
As They watch from their towers
of glass and gold
And sip from Their flutes
of tears and contentment

When nothing goes right,
go left—They laugh
As my wings made
of wax continue to fail me

When nothing goes right,
go left!

That's all you have to do
They say.
