The Coffeehouse

Can we go on a coffee date?
In the nearest coffeehouse so we won't be late.
Can we simply talk and put down each other's phones?
And pretend it's Nineteen Ninety-Four.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.

Good idea. I think a slow start is best. I like your work. Sara

Hello Mylene Adona, First thing, welcome to Poetry Soup. yes it would be so much better to talk to someone across the table at the coffee shop face to face. Instead of the cell phone. I agree. Enjoy your day my friend.
