Bird Gone Cold

How bad I feel when the glass fell?
Accompanying my chattering heart is the loud clatter
Piercing through my heart is your cold silence
Reasons for which I can't phantom

You deprive me your smile
You deny me your pretty face.

As I watch a one time smiley turn a 'frownie'
A one time kitty turn a fierce cat
Just like the shore sand,
Your smile washes away,
Just like the dark night
A frown still across your face

Smile for me please,
For in your smile
Is embedded a ray of hope
In your pretty face
I see a beautiful picture
Of a lady with a future.

I am not immune to begin wrong
But I had options I couldn't choose from
Sing for me, bird sing!
Same me from this 'self castigating'
Let your name manifest itself tonight
And let me meet joy.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
