Words of My Peers

These words escape the mouths of my peers.
Every place I turn there are the wretched expressions
These very sounds they’ve come to learn over the years.
They speak them all with no explanations.

They are added to sentences with no real meaning.
When emotions are on the rise these phrases show themselves.
But in reality they are just demeaning.
These words are just so unneeded for yourselves.

Yes, I have used the words before.
Only a few times, so there is no need to fret.
However, I have reasons for when I swore.
When you hit your elbow that’s just the noise you get.

So don’t tell me that I am in the wrong.
The ones who are mistaken are the ones who lack a cause.
If you say those without a purpose it rings like a gong.
So if you think of repeating these horrible words just take a pause.

(This is a form of Quatrain, or Rhyme) And I understand your message, I completely agree with you. I think this is a great way of sharing your words with the world and us. Welcome to PoetrySoup :)
