Always There

Your life changed forever that day

Whether it is early or late stage

Whatever your prognosis

It is always on your mind

Whether you want it to be or not

You try to live happy

Grateful for the time you have been given

Soak up every second

Live your life

“like there’s no tomorrow”

“appreciate the little things”

“live each day like it’s your last”

You try...

You try to enjoy and be present in each moment and still

It looms in the back of your mind

It is front and center in theirs

Can totally relate Melissa; my Mom now fully understands her leukemia prognosis with the chemo and without it; God willing she can live another two years with the chemo…God Bless~Che :)
