My Youth

I do remember the old showband music.
Taking me back to how the love story began

Recalling the old dance hall at the foot of the hill
where we used to frequent and have the crack and the men.

The girls on one side and the boys on the other

It is time now to slow things down and dance with another

A brave young man stepped in front of me
How are you madam would you care to dance?that's

Ah sure I will when we have the chance!

The smell of cologne filled the air as we danced the night away.
Then we had a chat followed my two soadas and a laugh

He made a date and that was that!

Character Sally Ann

Hi Helen, this is a cute blast from the past. (in your second verse, I think you may have meant 'and have a crack at the men' ......... instead of ....... "and have the crack and the men")
