Pasta

Sold this soul so long ago
to a single-horned devil named hunger
Like my ancestors did
The transgression we all previewed in talks between bowls of spaghetti
dragged out into late nights in old Italian Garfield
Slurped it up along with such knowledge
and that knowing blow minds
Cerebral confetti
Just fragments of sanity whisked through the air

Lineage, a long line of knaves dying depraved
Enslaved to the same lesson learned in the same ol' North Jersey Hell
The wolves were here
They had given birth to new animals
That feed off your strife, your tears, your loss
And I need to bleed you for it
to make the suffering come full circle
just as those before me did too
